We spent several days in the Black Hills because there is so much to see there. I forgot to mention in my previous post that we went over the Fourth of July. While we were out there we spent sometime at Mount Rushmore.
We even got to watch fireworks over Mount Rushmore, which was a really really cool part of our trip.
We visited Bear Country which is where you drive through the park in your own vehicle and see a bunch of different wild animals - bears (obviously), wolves, mountain lions, and many more types of animals. We even saw baby black bears and they were absolutely adorable.
We visited the attraction the Cosmos house which is said to defy gravity. There is one point in the tour that a much taller person is significantly shorter than a person who was shorter - it's actually really cool.
We spent a whole day driving around Custer State Park which is where Sylvan Lake is (part of National Treasure 2 was filmed there) and you can see over 1000 head of buffalo roaming.
I'm going to wrap up this blog with that. Next week I'll finish writing about our trip to South Dakota!
